SACRAMENTO, Calif., June 26, 2026 – UC Davis Health has launched enrollment for the SUPPORT II Pivotal Study, evaluating the investigational Supira System. This low-profile percutaneous ventricular assist device (pVAD) is designed to provide critical, temporary hemodynamic support for high-risk patients undergoing complex coronary stenting procedures.

The trial aims to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the low-profile system, which is engineered to minimize vascular complications while maintaining high flow rates during high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). By participating in this pivotal study, clinical teams can offer advanced procedural options to complex cardiovascular patients who might otherwise be considered too high-risk for intervention.
